The production of the film is inspired from the bestselling book ‘Corporate Chanakya’ authored by Mr. Radhakrishnan Pillai.
The film makes an attempt to simplify the teachings of Chanakya from the Arthashastra, and makes them relevant for today’s leaders of the corporate world. The story revolves around the quest of a young business executive trying to rediscover Chanakya’s teachings in today’s cluttered competitive space. One of the ‘Construct for Governance’ in the book Kautilya’s Arthashastra is called ‘The Saptangas’ – meaning “The 7 Pillars of a Successful Kingdom”. For the first time in History, These Seven Pillars will be unveiled to the world through an entertaining yet powerfully educating Film for Business success.
Talking about the film, Mr Radhakrishnan Pillai, Author, Corporate Chanakya, said, “Chanakya and his teachings have been relevant for ages. This film brings out the teachings of Chanakya from a management perspective. The film has 3 important aspects – A story line, real life leaders of corporate India and original sutras from the Kautilya’s Arthashastra. The film is based on research of many scholars as well as the creative effort of Shemaroo team. I am sure every person will be proud to see ancient Indian teachings in this new film format”
According to Mr. Hiren Gada, Director, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., “This film is an initiative to understand the successful strategies of one of the greatest guru of India – Chanakya. The film features head honchos from different industries who elaborate and explain ‘the Saptangas’ (meaning “The 7 Pillars of a Successful Kingdom) in their own way. These teachings are well integrated with a fiction story which makes it light for one to watch. We will be soon unveiling the names of the seven head honchos who are there in the film and have shared their experience.”
The Film gives us an insight as to how the ancient wisdom projected by Chanakya is still very much applicable in the contemporary space varying in its nature.
