Mumbai, 14th November, 2011: Bosch Home Appliances, Europe’s largest home appliances brand has announced the launch of its cutting edge ‘Zeolite Dishwasher’ in India. The Zeolite dishwasher is an energy efficient appliance that uses ‘zeolites’, a crystalline granule that reduces the energy consumption of a dishwasher by approximately 20 per cent.
The zeolite dishwasher incorporates some cutting edge technology with features including faster heating-up, optimized filter technology, targeted water distribution and improved pump performance with Active Water technology that adds up to less water, less energy and more performance. The dishwasher also comes with a new unique rinse system that uses every drop of water to full effect.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Dirk Dedekind, Head of Marketing, Bosch Home Appliances (India) said, “Over the past 20 years we have halved the energy consumption of our dishwasher products. The innovative zeolite technology has created another benchmark in efficiency possible. The appliance requires 20 percent less electricity than the most energy-efficient dishwashers available in the market. The introduction of such products in India will contribute significantly to the country’s sustainable development and growth going forward.”
Mr. Dedekind further added, “All Bosch products combine innovation, efficiency, aesthetic design and ease of use for a hassle free lifestyle. We aspire to create products of the highest quality and perfection delivering the best appliance. The zeolite dishwasher is an innovative product that is expected to raise the bar in innovation and efficiency in the home appliance space.”
The state-of-the-art dishwasher features a special container of zeolite, a mineral with the ability to store moisture and energy. It dries the dishes after the cleaning cycle by absorbing the moisture from the air in the dishwasher’s interior. During the cleaning cycle, the zeolite is heated up to recharge and the moisture is released so that it is ready for the drying cycle.
The Zeolite dishwashers deliver hygiene when it comes to washing dishes for babies and toddlers, hygiene being of utmost importance. Selecting the special HygienePlus function is the best possible way of ensuring maximum hygiene. The last rinse cycle in this particular function is set at such a high temperature, those even resistant bacteria and invisible germs don’t stand a chance of survival.
With the dishwasher’s convenient “VarioSpeed” Function, one can get the dishes washed faster as the cycle time of the wash is reduced almost by half. This function comes useful when you don’t have much time for the wash.
The ‘world’s first’ from Bosch and Siemens, was unveiled at IFA 2008, was recently awarded the “Innovation Prize for Climate and Environment” in the category “Product and service innovations for climate protection”. The “Innovation Prize for Climate and the Environment” (IKU) is intended to promote German innovations that make a contribution towards environmental protection and provide answers to one of the greatest challenges of today’s world.
